Introducing SOKI: The First Yarn Designed for Knitting Socks in Argentina

While it's possible to knit socks with almost any type of fiber, we recommend using noble fibers for greater comfort, thermal capacity, and breathability, along with a percentage of polyamide (nylon) for tensile strength. This is why we developed SOKI, a blend yarn composed of  20-micron Patagonic Merino Wool and 15% polyamide.

The yarn is presented in 3.5 oz skeins, allowing you to knit two complete socks from a single skein or two pairs of ankle socks!

But our SOKI yarn is more than just a sock yarn. With its wide range of colors and wonderful quality made from 20-micron merino wool, this yarn is ideal for knitting all kinds of garments and perfect for colorwork.

Our SOKI line yarn is developed by and for discerning knitters. It’s a product from our B-TEX division of natural yarns, designed to be a reference in its category worldwide. We use the finest fibers from Argentine's Patagonic Merino sheeps, selecting only the best fibers from each animal to ensure a maximum fineness of 20 microns. This yarn is spun in Argentina with the utmost care and the right amount of twist to achieve an exceptionally soft touch.

Available in a SOCK weight with a yield of 421 yards per 3.5 oz, our SOKI line comes in 28 mélange colors.

Merino wool is one of the noblest fibers in the world, offering excellent thermal properties in cold conditions. It has natural antibacterial properties, preventing sweat from permeating the fabric and causing unpleasant odors. It retains heat even when wet and is soft to the touch, making it non-itchy on the skin, unlike other wools. Additionally, it repels water, making it an ideal fiber for rainy seasons. With keratin content, it protects against ultraviolet rays. It is breathable, largely due to the fiber diameter and the air pockets created in the knit. Being a fine, quality fiber, it possesses high flexibility and heat resistance.
