Merino Wool & Lama blend | INKA | Sport | 3.5 oz
Luxury in your hands
This natural yarn from the INKA line is a blend of 50% 21-micron Patagonian Merino Wool and 50% uncarded lama sourced from the Argentine Andes, developed by and for discerning knitters. It’s a perfect blend of the finest fibers from the region: merino wool from merino sheep raised in Patagonia near the South Pole, and lamas from the Andes mountains in northern Argentina. This is a product from Argentiner's B-TEX division of natural yarns, created to achieve a regional yarn that is difficult to match anywhere in the world.
These two breeds of animals raised in Argentina develop unique properties thanks to the geographical characteristics of the country: an extremely cold climate in the South, where merino sheep are bred, and areas with a wide thermal amplitude in Northwestern Argentina, almost 3.000 miles north, which are essential for lamas to develop their long, fine fleece.
Combined with the mechanical uncarding technique, we ensure that the llama fibers used in these yarns are the ideal ones to maximize the quality and softness of this exclusive fiber.
Spun in Argentina with the utmost care and the right amount of twist to achieve an exceptionally soft touch.
Available in SPORT weight, this merino/lama line is offered only in natural shades, undyed and obtained through the blend of fibers of different tones in a manual process without chemicals.
